Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of the HLT Travel platform operated by Hambo Lwethu Travel (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2023/XXXXXX/07), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa ("HLT Travel", "we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Definitions
"Platform" means the website at book.hltravel.co.za and associated mobile applications. "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform. "Supplier" means any travel service provider listed on the Platform. "Booking" means a confirmed reservation for travel services made through the Platform.
3. Account Registration
To make bookings, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4. Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the relevant supplier. HLT Travel acts as an intermediary between you and the travel supplier. The contract for travel services is between you and the supplier.
You are responsible for ensuring all booking details (names, dates, destinations) are correct at the time of booking. Changes after confirmation may incur additional fees.
5. Pricing and Payments
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at 15%. A service fee of 5% is added at checkout.
Payment must be made in full before travel services are confirmed. We accept EFT (bank transfer) and Instant EFT payments. Additional payment methods may be added in the future.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation policies vary by supplier and product type. It is your responsibility to review the cancellation policy before making a booking.
Refunds are processed within 7-14 business days of approval. Service fees are non-refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
7. Loyalty Programme
The HLT Travel loyalty programme is subject to separate terms. Points are earned on qualifying bookings and can be redeemed at checkout. HLT Travel reserves the right to modify the programme at any time with reasonable notice.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access, transmit malicious code, or interfere with the operation of the Platform.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of HLT Travel or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
10. Limitation of Liability
HLT Travel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from travel services provided by third-party suppliers. Our liability is limited to the commission earned on the booking. We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of services provided by suppliers.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HLT Travel from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through our internal complaints procedure. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation before litigation.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Gauteng, South Africa.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
